Hi Diana, & welcome.

You can go in a collectivo but that's hard if you are not used to it. But if you are up for it, you will meet the locals that's for sure.

I will dig out some info for you soon

Hola

The falls are very special. We went up with a trip organised by our Hotel, The Gala. It is well worth the cost as it's quiet a trip up to the mountains. The falls are almost prehistoric. The plant life, the rocks and the setting. They are cared for buy the local village who work with the landscape. There are no shops or tourist traps next to the falls so bring food and drinks. I recommend a warm towel as the water is from a natural spring so it is refreshingly cool. NO SMOKING allowed.

Have a great time.

Howdy Silversard,

The waterfalls are just an hour and half from Huatulco. Basically they are located in Santa Maria Xadani a fun little village with an ancient church.

They are just a little further on the road, but everyone knows where the waterfalls are. There are two sets, ´LLano Grande´and ´Copalitilla´. LLano Grande is the nearest.

It´s a lot easier to get an all in tour from La Crucessita, but adventure awaits the independant driver. The road is good until Xadani, then it´s bad, so a vehicle with good clearance is needed. Though I do it in a little Chevy.

They are simply stunning.
