Feverish acttivity in Huatulco Real Estate market.

Any local will tell you that there is an awful lot of activity in Huatulco at the moment. We have new supermarket comng soon, a new road arriving from Oaxaca and the Istmo of Tehuantepec and new hotels to be contructed.

Add along with this; the land for sale by Fonatur around Tejoncito and Arrocito, new hotels, bars and many condos in the Huatulco area and you have very happy suppliers to the costruction trade.

'Ibero Star' to construct hotel of 500 rooms in Bahia Conejos.

International Hotel group 'Ibero Star' are to build a 500 room hotel in Bahia Conejos. They are currently finishing off the paperwork, but Governor Jose Umberto Cruz Ramos is very optomistic that this will be signed very soon

In the same bay another chain 'Ocidental Hoteles' are also to build a 300 room hotel in the near future.

Good news for Pochutla. - New plans for road improvements Oaxaca City to Pochutla.

Governor Jose Umberto Cruz Ramos is to designate the Pochutla area with extraordinary potential.

In the plans revealed in Oaxaca City are a new improved road from Oaxaca City to Pochutla (and the Oaxacan coast including Huatulco and PE). People are very excited and are quoting driving time as nearer to two hours rather than the 5 - 6 hours hard drive at the moment.

With the new Jack Black film that was shot in Oaxaca City to be realeased by Paramount very soon worldwide, Oaxaca is to be very much in the tourism spotlight. The improved access to the coast will help drastically. At the moment, many visitors to Oaxaca City are put off visiting the coast by the hard drive or bus ride involved in a trip to the coast.

Oaxaca City - Istmo - Huatulco road improvements.

Still on the agenda is vast road improvements to the coastal road from Salina Cruz to Huatulco. Village leaders and Presidents of Ejidos along the coast hve met with officials to clear the way to use the common land that is on either side of the existing coastal road in order to commence the widening, straightening and access of said road.

Cytrich bar opened in Santa Cruz Marina.

Finally a bar that overlooks the marina has opened in Santa Cruz. Cytyrich is a cool laid back bar built on a spit into the marina behind the Pemex Station.

Great coctails served over the water by attentive Argentine & local staff with very chilled music. Good food too. Relax in a big chair whilst gazing at the stars.
