Huatulco property & land is moving fast. It had been a slow burner as far as investment has gone, mainly due to inaccessibility and a small presence on the tourism world stage, but recently has seen a lot of activity, with new businesses and the older ones expanding. Direct flights from Canada, The US and soon Europe are opening up Huatulco to the world. This season there will be over 80 cruise ships arriving from the Caribbean & points North. The word is out, so watch this space. There are houses, appts & villas to buy and to rent and a lot of lovely land on which to build the home of your dreams. Condos are still modestly priced with great rental potential. Many of the agencies below can help with property management. Whilst there are no beachfront lots for sale in Huatulco itself, there are small beachfront developments just minutes from the centre such as Playa El Mojon. As the area expands these once remote areas are becoming more accessible and are gaining much interest. San Miguel del Puerto county(next door to Huatulco) is activating new roads on the coast to aid investment. This area only includes Playa El Mojòn The 1000m from beach inland has been zoned for privatization. Playa Las Garzas is still ejido though so take care.	Fonatur (the government tourist development organisation) are to build three more hotels with 1200 more rooms available. One of these is to be built on Punta Arena which is near to Playa Conejos & Playa La Bocana. Retirement? Many non-Mexicans have their homes in Huatulco. There are all the facilities needed for everyday living. Whilst there is only a smattering of good bars and good restaurants, it is getting better every year. If you find that you don't like the bars ... open one yourself. Do not expect big returns in a small amount of time, think of a slow build up and Huatulco will not disappoint you. Best Investment potential: Santa Cruz, Playa Chahue, Arrocito & La Esperanza for the rental sector (Residential Conejos is too expensive for any profit margin). Outlying beaches (for land) such as Playa El Mojòn & Salchi Bay.. Best Lifetyle: Arrocito, Santa Cruz, Residential Chahue. Best budget accomodation to buy: Residential Chahue, Sector J.
